Baju baru untuk aku, kau dan CHELSEA.

The ALL-NEW Chelsea home kit and shirt for the 2010/11 season is now revealed.

The moment of the season has come. Our new home kit has been revealed. YES.

As you can see, we’ve gone a bit red. The collar is a salute to the club’s most loyal supporters, the 'Chelsea Pensioners'. The pensioners still take their seats in the main stand at Stamford Bridge wearing their famous red coats. Chelsea were actually nicknamed The Pensioners between 1905 and 1952 and this is not the first time red has been included on a Chelsea kit.

The Pensioners.

Many of you already know that red was a part of the club for a while but not since 1994. Remember all those flashy red away kits from 85-91? The launch will be supported by an advertising campaign ‘Made from 100% Chelsea’ developed by pop artist and Chelsea fan Sir Peter Blake.

Sir Peter Blake, who most famously designed the artwork for the Beatles album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Oasis’ greatest hits album Stop the Clocks has created a variety of montages depicting Chelsea’s history and heritage. The shirt will be worn for the first time on 9th May 2010 against Wigan in the last Premier League game of the season (of course by that time, we're already CHAMPIONS!)

The kit encompasses a contemporary red v-neck design, while the main body of the shirt integrates mesh into the fabric creating a striking design with pure performance benefits for invoking match winning elegance and style.

An extraordinary designer. For an extraordinary team. Extraordinarily Excellent.

Anyway. My thoughts on the new look? I actually like the simplistic look. Perhaps a psychological killer effect onlooking the other red wearing contenders??

You know who you are.
