Gara-gara Geoff Johns, hampir semua komik DC jadik best.

Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy and Lightning Lad appears! Thank you Geoff for staying true to the lore.

Smallville has had its major ups and downs over the last seven years. There have been moments of genius right along side moments so head scratchingly bizarre (or boring). Critically and ratings-wise, this season has seen an upswing and it looks to continue that after the standard TV winter break. When it returns, Smallville returns with a bang featuring an episode written by Geoff Johns and starring the Legion of Super-Heroes. For those who are not aware, Geoff Johns also wrote the Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes story arc in Action Comics #858-863.

It's tough to imagine there being a busier writer currently working in the comic industry (apart from Brian Bendis) or one who's enjoyed more recent critical and commercial success than Geoff Johns. In addition to masterminding the Action Comics, Green Lantern and Justice Society of America ongoing titles, DC Comics numero-uno scribe recently wrapped the celebrated three-part Rogues Revenge tie-in to Final Crisis and is currently hard at work at Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds and the highly anticipated Flash: Rebirth in 2009. And to top it all off, none other than Richard Donner the director of the 1978 Superman: The Movie himself recently endorsed him for the job of adapting the next Superman film to the big screen.

All in all, the newest Smalville trailer features good shots of each of the core three (though no power usage yet, we DO get the Legion fist raise), along with teases for developments with the other characters like Chloe, Doomsday, and Mercy. The second half of the season is shaping up to be some of the best Smallville yet and I can’t wait for January 15th of next year.
